ATELIER ACS

This installation is an art exploration of thresholds and memories; a creative journey between reality and imagination. Inspired by the two most defining entities of our existence – life and death – we tried to create a ‘place’ that embodies a soul’s memories when changing its condition.

By using the reflective-surfaced panels we want to create a real experience of the senses, a play of light and reflections. The interaction with the art installation is not superficial but highly intense and powerful, encouraging people to be creative and imaginative. The mirror-like corridor reflects the surrounding context, the architecture and its memories but most importantly, reflects the human silhouettes passing by and interacting with the artwork. This way they become an actual memory trace that will now be part of the collective memory of this place.

We can say that we are tracing Sheffield. This way, we are all part of this threshold to imagination,
we all share a memory.
